Pros
1. High impact work. Everything being worked on is essential for the product/company. 2. People. The team is both talented and friendly. Important for remote work and maintaining a supportive environment to work through some tough problems. 3. Exciting problem space. Obviously robots are super neat and the possible use cases are expanding rapidly. 4. Learning opportunities. Work on anything from embedded, to simulation, to UI. We own our whole stack and engineers are encouraged to dive into what interests them most. 5. Full remote. Commute is 30 seconds to my desk, but opportunities exist to visit the factory and various trade shows as well.
Cons
1. Tough open ended problems. It can be frustrating to try to overcome some challenging road blocks without a clear solution. It makes success that much more exciting though. 2. Shifting Priorities. A young company in a rapidly developing market is going to have top priorities change often. Gotta be willing to shift gears quickly.
