Robotics is undoubtedly going to play a transformative and significant shift in how we experience the world for the better. There are few companies with as many talented people where you can be at the forefront of this work. The leadership team has an ambitious vision for the future and unique skills to be able to accomplish it. I was always so impressed to work with the CEO, who has actually built robots first-hand and understands the engineering behind it. I was always met with open-mindedness to ideas and trusted to do my best work - plus it was inspiring to see how dedicated the CEO and rest of the team were. Few care about quality, design, and excellence as much as this company. This gives me tremendous confidence in their future and ability to compete and differentiate.

During my time with the company so far, I had the opportunity to work alongside some incredibly talented individuals, including leadership, who are deeply committed to innovation and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in engineering. While there are challenges, especially around balancing multiple large-scale projects, the ambition and drive to deliver cutting-edge products is what sets it apart from most other companies. Standard Bots is not a place to rest and vest, its not a large tech company that coddles its employees. Making good products (hardware and software) is hard work and is not for everyone. One of the most valuable aspects of working here is the variety of high-impact projects. The fast-paced environment allowed me to grow quickly, learn new skills, and work in areas outside of my expertise. I was often encouraged to think creatively and offer input. I also admired the company’s dedication to building custom solutions, even when it meant taking the road less traveled. There’s a strong belief in creating tailored products that set the company apart, which was inspiring to be a part of. This level of commitment to excellence—while sometimes demanding—showed the leadership’s passion for delivering unique solutions to customers. Though there were times when the company had to make tough decisions or adapt quickly to shifting priorities, I appreciated the leadership's efforts to respond dynamically to the market. And while managing a large portfolio of projects can be complex, I respect the vision to build multiple, impactful initiatives at once, even when it requires constant adaptation. High-growth companies need to stay nimble and focused in the face of rapidly changing circumstances. If folks on the team are taking much longer to finish tasks or projects, leadership tries to understand why and offer help.
