Pros

A great place to get your feet wet and get lots of hands on experience. Better benefits than some other local employers such as Wal-mart and McDonald's and other Honda suppliers. Highly paid assembly line workers. Anyone with advanced training will be able to really make an big impact at Stanley Electric quickly.

Cons

Top management does not seem to understand the cost and time involved it takes to create a fully trained, useful employee. Many of the best people move on to other employers very quickly after gaining most of their training and becoming useful. Only interested in competing with other London employers for top talent. Does not recognize the ability of excellent employees to relocate from London area. The company processes and procedures are not innovative nor does it seem that innovation is encouraged or appreciated. The management production and problem solving direction seems to be spending a lot of time doing the same things over and over while expecting different results. Profitability is now more realized through cost cutting and benefit reduction. Egalitarian (socialistic) pay scale and management policy. Line workers easily are able to make more than engineering staff annually. Top management seems afraid to make the tough decisions. Pay raises are small to non-existent plant-wide. Full of legacy employees at top level positions gained through time rather than skill or ability. This is caused by high turnover of key staff level and key hourly positions.
