Not a good understanding of work and life. The expectation was to always be at work or on call and no separation between work and family.

Average-to-low pay for an entry level engineering position, raises are meager. General coatings department engineering atmosphere is very much a good ole boy system where friends of the coatings manager can do no wrong but everyone else is looked down upon and/or treated poorly. Starting in middle management, every person has their job based on time with the company, not skills or education. Poor decision making starting from the top. Not a diversified company, so plan on slow days & layoffs if Honda slows production.
