Great networking opportunities but challenging internal mobility

Pros

Large company with many opportunities to network and know many industries. Company is based in Canada and seems to have good values and care for employees overall, including safety. Pay and work-life balance seem above average.

Cons

Difficult to break into new work within the company. Over anything else, your utilization rate is your driver. Even when you have work that you're waiting to be passed to you, if you cannot get started on it you have to take leave until you have enough work to fill your plate.
