Worked with some very smart people.

Cons

Co. talks about sustainability and "working with community in mind" but grovels to big oil, gas, and pipeline companies and takes projects that run over local communities. "Management" is not - lots of number counting but no sense of direction or focus on actually directing/guiding/developing staff. No clear messaging from superiors and never sure if they are being truthful. Very top heavy with lots of non-working, high-paid people sucking off project managers and techs.

We do projects that change the world. Smaller projects that have a big impact on our communities up to mega projects.

Cons

Doesn't look like we will stop acquiring any time soon. We literally laid off employees one day and announced we bought a company the next. It's "just business" but it sucks. I'd love to see us hit pause and focus on the "better together" on our mouse pads but i know we won't. Theres no maternity leave in USA (it's disability) and it esp stings when the canadians get a year off. Work is encouraged to be shared with Canada to help floundering market and take advantage of exchange rate...but most of business comes from us operations.
