A good place to acquire experience if you can keep your head down and play the game. Dissent is not tolerated. Senior management will pretend to solicit your input. They are in fact ultra conservative in their business approach and devoid of imagination.
Cons
Stantec's market share in environmental services is shrinking and their competitors know it and are consequently feasting on the spoils. Acquisitions can be toxic, especially when growth targets reward quantity and not quality. Even more toxic is the brave heart of senior leadership that has forged an alliance through marriage of arrogance and ignorance. Note to Guelph: killing morale and terminating experienced professionals without any regard to value leads to a voluntary exodus of good people. Employees have options regardless of economic times.
