Pros

Good benefits (Health/Dental/Vision), paid holidays, flexible hours.

Cons

A lot of micromanagement, not given many hours to focus of company training, no enough hours to provide service in all store departments.

Pros

You get paid weekly. Company discounts. 420 friendly! (they don't drug test) They can't drug test you neither, even if your co-workers complain about your bud smell reek! Can call out alot! You get 5 callouts for year, 2 no call no shows, and sick days! If you use them correctly you can never get written up or never lose your job.

Cons

You must become universal soldier! As a sales manager, I'm expected to do everyone's job and work a store with out a full staff at all times. Not being able to make metrics, it's all your fault despite all reasons that are uncontrollable. Staples.com is killing our own store. They are focusing on .com side to war against Amazon. However, customers have caught on too! Prices are usually 20% less online then in store. This had led to more customers shopping online and not shopping in store. If they do come into the store, half the time we don't even sell or have it in stock within the store. Company's logistics is a joke. You can't order your own store's merchandise that you sell to customers. Cross fingers and hope corporate sends it on your next truck. Trucks are usually packed wrong so merchandise is broken or you're missing items that they said they sent you. Double work now! Have to file tickets to get your store's money back and send in broken merchandise back. Drug tests are non existent! Have had numerous occasions where an associate came into work high and spaced out. District manager says you can't do nothing about it unless you actually see it in their hand! LMBO! HR is a joke! Co-workers can use racial slurs against other races, be reported to HR, and nothing will happen! Training? Depending on your manager, you may work years at this job not even knowing the basics of your duties. Basically just be nice, smile, be ignorant and pretend to do as you're told and you'll get a check every week despite not actually doing all your work. Snowflakes welcomed!
