Pros

I enjoy my customers, I enjoy my work, I enjoy making someone's day and life easier. I love the training platform and the product knowledge one gains. I enjoy my benefits package.

Cons

It is hard to get promoted in this position unless you are willing to transfer to other stores. Once someone gets a position in the store, they tend to hold onto it for life. Management tends to be very by-the-books and is unwilling to budge on customer service issues. Raises do not get increased proportionate to minimum wage increases.

Pros

-Fairly easy work -Generally great customers -(Sometimes) Flexibility with schedule -Benefits for P/T and F/T employees

Cons

-Management put employees against one another in an unprofessional manner -When promoted, raises are like 29 cents -They treat you Staples should be your entire world -Management was very inconsistent with their rules and regulations. They would let some people get away with things and punish others for the same behavior -They expect you to work overtime, because they don't schedule enough of an overlap, but when you do work overtime they scold you.

Pros

Lots of training, clearly defined expectations for each and every position, decent management at store level, encouragement for meeting goals.

Cons

Constantly training "strategy", preference given to employees, rude DSM, no room for full-time unless you become an all powerful key holder, few raises.
