Pros

Flexible hours, get to play with new tech products, meet new people both other employees and customers. Overall an easy going work environment.

Cons

Low pay, employees with enough knowledge to be full blown computer techs at other companies are paid the same as regular associates and expected to sell sell sell with no rewards or compensation. Even in this poor economy higher ups don't seem to understand that customers can't afford to be shelling out extra money for things like extended warranties. Instead of giving employees full time positions management seems to like hiring more people then schedule them 10-15 hrs a week. Management also seems to play the favorites card a lot which keeps the same employees excelling while the others are left digging around in the trenches. Several lead positions have people working in them where the sales associate below them would be a better fit.

Pros

Its very stable, they are not going out of business anytime soon. Its always nice to have a customer come up to you and ask for you by name. Its also like being part of a family. Good benifits

Cons

Some of the policies that staples has are not enforced to how they should be, which makes it hard as an employee to do your job. Customers are one of the biggest downsides always complaining thinking its your fault for something not being the way they expect it to be. There is also no associate discount its just a few days a year where you get 10% now on anything except computers, stamps.

Pros

You don't have to think about the job when you leave.

Cons

Too much responsibility for the level of training you are given, especially when fixing customers computers. If you enjoy doing the same thing day in and day out, then you make like it.
