Pros

Some co-workers were awesome to work with, pretty good benefits - tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, paid holidays, occasional fun "spirit" days

Cons

High turnover, low pay, lazy managers. There are very few people who actually work hard to make the store look good and actually maintain it. It seems that when a supervisor of one department goes on vacation, that department falls apart because management doesn't step up.

Pros

For most of the time I worked for Staples, I had great coworkers. A few of them became really good friends. It was also nice knowing what I was going to do each day. I also had the sole position whose hours didn't radically change each week.

Cons

I first started as PT office supplies associate and I quickly moved up to FT. A year later I was promoted to an IA (warehouse supervisor position) and got a raise. But then it deadended. For the next six years, I was stuck in the same position. I watched people side step me and get promoted a couple of time. They hired from outside to replace store GMs, which all were terrible. And then the last GM just decided to hate me and decided to do everything in his power to have me fired. The rate at which you get raises was terrible. One year I only got a raise of six cents. I was furious and all the GM did was shrug and said it was not up to him.
