Look it up, Staples just signed a 6 billion dollar loan they're NEVER going to pay back and that will be the company's ultimate downfall. My store had at most 5 people running the entire store and 2 at the bare minimum for half the days I worked. We're overworked, underpaid, and are forced to obey corporates absolutely terrible rules. They have hashed positions, cut hours, and doubled our work load. Did you know Staple's does Amazon returns? Absolutely awful for everyone at the store level. It consumes everyone's day no matter where you work in the store. There's also no accountability because we are so low staffed and stretched thin. You make a mistake? Oh well it's someone else's problem! The DM of this location as well and the rest of the district? Not only are they obviously inexperienced, but they also don't know what to prioritize to save their life. They are the type of the person to be nice to your face, but absolutely destroy you in private with higher management, focusing on things that don't matter long term. Also Staple's wages aren't competitive at all, it's no wonder we have high turnover. No one in this economy can afford anything less than $16 an hour, and even that isn't good enough. Maybe if the GEOs stopped paying themselves in liquid assets and paid their employees living wages, then maybe yall wouldn't have to apply for a 6 billion dollar loan. Loved all my coworkers, I have made long term friends for life, but man this company sucks. It's a sinking ship.
