      Pros

      Flexable hours and the ability to ignore the assigned tasks and zone out for hours. Some where that it is difficult to get fired as long as you make it past the 30 days.

      Cons

      Associates are not properly punished for poor performance, attitude, and ethic. Poor structure in promotions, training and programs. Very poor communication from home office on the intentions of their programs and merchandising.

      Pros

      The people that you work with. Very caring individuals. The people are just trying to do the job to the best of their ability. Many people take pride in their work yet are not treated as people but as tasks getting done, sales and service. It does have many people who care and the store team work is great. Every one wants to assist each other as well as the customer it's just that they do not always feel as if they are appreciated and then they want to leave the stores or and company. The store teams are good when they work with one another.

      Pros

      Great company that will continue to grow and create opportunities for talented people. Company works hard to identify those with great potential and promote from within. International growth will be the driving force for the next 10 years, and Staples will continue to outperform its major retail competitors in the US (Office Depot and Office Max) as they weaken as a result of the recession.

      Cons

      Very few considering it is a great company that will prosper even more as the economy rebounds.
