Pros

Decently priced health insurance; discounted for Starbucks employees. Free Spotify membership. Discount on merchandise, food, and beverages. Unlimited free beverages during your shift. Paid ten minute breaks for any shift which is 4 hours or longer, unpaid half hour lunch break for any shift longer than 5 hours in some states and 6 hours in others. Sick time and vacation time.

Cons

You are often required to work alone on the floor. You are required to do a ton of cleaning during your shift, which becomes exhausting. They consistently cut labor and understaff the floor for any given day, which means you cannot do your cleaning tasks, and often have to stay late or miss breaks. Constructive criticism from coworkers can often come off as aggressive.

not worth the pay or stress

Pros

the markouts for free food and drinks during shifts and tip outs every week

Cons

the pay is good for a fast food job but its not a fast food job. My store is perpetually understaffed every shift that i work the labor is controlled down to the minutes and we dont have enough labor allowance to adequately run at the standards set for us. When you cant hold up those standards with the inadequate resources available it gets put on the workers. Its simply not worth the constant anxiety and being dumped on every day and making you feel incompetent when you have no control over anything that goes on.

Pros

Offer comprehensive benefits and free coffee to employees

Cons

Salaried employees are worked far more than the 40 hours they are scheduled for and are forced to sign arbitration agreements to bar employees from taking legal action against Starbucks in court for labor violations.
