Pros

-Good Benefits. -Some good, honest people.

Cons

-Constant updates to promotions without detailed information, resources, or time to plan. -Very much a Rah Rah atmosphere. If you do not suck up to the hire ups constantly, you will go nowhere and receive limited help. -Company constantly cuts labor drastically and tables work orders at the end of quarters/fiscal years, which hurts partner morale as well as creates a not so pleasant work environment at times. -Years behind other companies in technology which makes the job very hard at times. -I worked for the company in this position for 11 years and all except one of my bosses micro managed everything. -Some managers focus on cleanliness in their district, some DT times, some partner development. You will be told you are doing a lot of wrong things until you find out the way the area you are in works. Expect a lot of "unconstructive" criticism. -Many more things that would take me too long to write.

Pros

-You get your exercise going up and down stairs all day in the HQ building. You get more exercise walking potentially a mile away to find affordable parking. -You get a 30% discount on Starbucks food, bev and merch.

Cons

Starbucks is losing its culture. It's not a welcoming place to work. You are on your own from day one. Get ready to figure it all out for yourself. The culture is very passive aggressive and supremely hierarchical, though they don't think they are. God forbid you're not a VP at this company. If you're not a VP, you may as well be an indentured servant. The pay is not competitive but you get the privilege of working crazy hours and trying to meet impossible goals for people who are never happy, but it's Starbucks, so you should be grateful, damnit. If you're not grateful, there are other people who want the brand on THEIR resume and you can be replaced. That's the message at Starbucks.
