Pros

flexible hours (good for part time work), great employer to have on resume to demonstrate customer service/interpersonal skills, tuition reimbursement (I got $500 reimbursement for a marine biology course!), job expectations are clear (if you ever have a question about policy, the answer will be in a manual you can read)

Cons

promotion happens much faster for external hires than internal hires, can be difficult to get references from management when applying for new jobs (company liability), store managers play a major role in setting the work environment/team morale and have high turnover

Pros

-Good job if you need experience, lots of working hours -Wages are good, above minimum, and you get tips as well -Most people are fun to work with and very nice

Cons

-Hard to get shifts covered -Management seems to follow the rules, "Do as I say, not as I do"- manager does not follow dress code, takes the shifts they prefer, etc. -When asking for time off, manager gets rude or touchy -The customers are number one priority and management allows them to bully employees and take advantage of policies
