      Pros

      Starbucks focus is primarily on quality customer service. What makes Starbucks a fun environment are the partner you work with and the community around it. The knowledge and experience of providing the best coffee per cup for each customer on a daily basis makes work fun. Also, the flexibility of shift coverage among partners allows you flexibility to balance work life and personal time.

      Cons

      Locations play a role that determine what customers you may acquire on a daily basis. Few conflicts tend to arise from transients that walk in at night. Other than that, its a great company to work for.

      Pros

      Starbucks is a good place for outgoing people to work part time. Benefit packages are available to people working an average of 20 hours a week, and they are very competitive. Many managers generally are concerned with their employees well being and bend over backwards to help employees in need.

      Cons

      Promotion past shift supervisor is very difficult. To move from retail to corporate from within the company one either needs a graduate level degree or to already be a store manager or assistant manager. Due to increased expectations on current employees, there were cases of employees who were refused internal promotions that applied as out of store hires and getting the promotion.
