Pros
My co-workers are warm and friendly and we often hang out outside of work. My manager is very encouraging and supportive (leaves hearts all over her notes to us), though she's still a bit inexperienced and has a lot to learn. Regional manager is great and good and communicating. They are very good at accomadating my availability, as I'm a part time student. Customers are great, we have regulars that brighten our days and make up for the grumpy ones.
Cons
The money sucks. I've been working here for 11 months, my job performance is great and I've even been nominated as 'Partner of the Quarter' and I'm still making less than 8 dollars an hour. The sales goals are pretty intense and we struggle every day to meet them. This causes a lot of stress, because we are threatened with losing our jobs if we can't consistently meet goals. Yes, benefits are available but I'm not enrolled because I can't afford the $60 a month. I get an opportunity for a raise every 6 months but it's typically only between 10-50 cents. I have amazing customer service skills and I always go the extra mile, but I don't get treated any differently from 'ho-hum' employees who don't really care about their job performance. Overall, great entry-level or first job, really nice working environment, but really not all that it's cracked up to be. It's basically a glorified fast food job.
