Pros

Learned some great skills early on I'm my career. Including to do what's best for you, you are not important to your employer. Enjoyed speaking with providers about products and services, fast-paced problem-solving. Enjoyed the ability to work closely with other departments to get issues resolved. PTO and benefits are great but not worth it. Underpaid for what the position asks of you.

Cons

Unfortunately many. They call you the Starkey family to excuse their behaviors and overwork you. They laid of 250+ people due to COVID. Many of which were with them for over 30+ years. Those left were expected to pick up their pieces. It was a disaster, so many issues were sent to upper management to never be resolved. They also rescinded merit-based raises to already underpaid and overworked employees. Customer service is treated like they are not part of the company, used and abused. Management forced many to come back to the office even when they were being put at risk and performed well WFH. MANY Covid outbreaks at HQ. Too much upper management and still a lack of leadership. Glad I jumped ship when I did. They are downward spiraling. Just a matter of time before they get bought out.

Pros

Good vacation time if you're actually a Starkey employee. If you "work" for Starkey as a Northland employee enjoy never taking a day off.

Cons

Management keeps secrets, lies to employees, and doesn't work towards any real progress. Deep seated misogynistic values all the way up to the top.

Pros

Four weeks paid time off right away and it goes up to five weeks of paid time off after three years with the company.

Cons

Employee satisfaction doesn't matter. They believe that all employees are replaceable by younger, cheaper models. Any opinions by mid level employees are dismissed and management likes to sit around and pat each other on the back. One manager acts like a baby-sitter and walks around with a baseball bat in his hand and swings it around to intimidate others.
