Pros
Ok pay and decent benefits
Cons
Literally everything else. The pay was ok but it was NOT enough to sustain a completely comfortable life. They keep combining departments, so you'll get hired on in one position and end up working 3 other positions for no extra pay. They watch you all so to monitor activity, calls, time in and out, mouse movement, tasks, etc. They will give you a couple days notice if they demand overtime, even on the weekends so you can never really plan anything. During peak catastrophe times they may even demand randomly 10+ hours of overtime and you just have to say "Ok" so they have no regard to your personal time. This job is SOUL CRUSHING. There are so many ways to have to deny a claim, especially with water damages. Having to tell someone their loss is denied is one of the worst feelings in the world. Customers harass you all day long. There will be times when you have over 100 claims active and it's impossible to catch up because the more you have, the more calls you get which then makes more missed calls and voicemails which makes less claims touched especially when they're repeat callers. If you do happen to reduce your claims, State Farm will then resign other claims to you then get mad when you are high in claims. They also don't tell you how many claims deal with biohazards like suicide and you have to look through all those photos.
