Pros

I recommend any other industry, BUT if you are desperate to get into sales or need a job, it is easy to get into insurance and the product is super easy to sell. Just low commissions per sale.

Cons

Low commissions per sale Tons of competition Very over saturated

Pros

Was able to get licensed to produce insurance, which can be utilized with any company

Cons

Poor pay, repetitive and unrewarding work. There are better pay structures at insurance brokers and smaller insurance companies, residual pay, etc.. You'll have a lot of leads because it's a big company with name recognition, but that same company is going to take your residual pay, unlike other pay structures where you'll get paid for renewals.
