Pros

Great people in the office that I worked with.

Cons

over 40 employees in and out the door in less than 4 years. Agent is corrupt and known in the insurance world (across many different comapnies and around Atlanta) for the things she does. Terrible boss, and tries to cheat employess out of money when she thinks they are making too much.

Pros

The "pros" are compensation; benefits; overall opportunity. I would love to still be working there, but my office was closed and I am not mobile nor willing to commute to Dallas, where everything seems to be transferring The company does genuinely care about its employees, though.

Cons

Currently going through a transitional phase and many offices closing and job positions are being dropped or centralized.

Pros

lots of amenities for someone with a family - state farm park has a pool geared for kids of all ages plus kiddie water slides, it also has tennis courts, frisbee golf courses, and kiddie playgrounds - the company is really understanding of people who have small children or families- lots of employees have kids and you are encouraged to bring your kids to work - the company allows workers to work from home a couple days a week to take care of their kids provided you have worked here long enough and are on good terms with your boss or even leave early to pick up your kids and then work later afterward

Cons

-the company is not friendly for young, single, unmarried people -first headquarters location is in the middle of nowhere. like seriously if you drive a few minutes from state farm's headquarters you see cornfields. so not surprisingly, young people do not gravitate toward this company. -it is really hard to meet people in their 20s here. again not surprising because of its location. - the managers have really high expectations. and many times, their evaluations are not purely based upon skill but rather how you appear to them. to succeed with management, you often have to appear you are working hard. they expect you to take your laptops home after work but not get paid for that.
