Pros

Doing nothing and still getting paid. Benefits really suck everyone seems to think that they are great but you really have to pay. The 401k match is ok but I have seen better from smaller organizations.

Cons

They value insurance education over everything and they hire you who you are instead of what you can do. Working in Bloomington it is really race based. Had a lot of encounters with race complaints. A lot of changes, many not for the better. Off shoring a lot of work. I am currently looking for another job. Have a few interviews lined up.

The pros of being a CAT Adjuster is the 8 week extensive training.

Cons

The cons of the job are the long work hours/days during a major catastrophe and limited time restraints to go the bathroom, breaks and time off of the phone.

Each State Farm Office is individually owned and operated. Therefore Agents maintain full discretion of salary, commission, bonuses, benefits, opportunities, and assigned duties. Ask for specifics to prevent any misunderstandings. Some Agents will also pay Licensing and/or CE requirements.
