      Pros

      If you're looking for experience, State Street offers courses to improve ones skills and provides educational assistance.

      Cons

      You can be overwhelmed if insufficient training is provided. Some operational teams may not have the time to properly train new employees. A "lean" model does not necessarily work here. Cost cutting programs when morale is already down does not translate to a bright future.

      Pros

      Good benefits package. However, this does not out way the cons of working here. Unless you are straight out of college or unemployed I would not recommend.

      Cons

      The pay is probably the worst part. Entry level positions are paid well below the market average. Work live balance is increasingly becoming very negative with layoffs and not replacing backfill positions. When you do get promoted and work here for several years you become a target for layoffs, this bank is not what it used to be.

      Pros

      Health benefits are okay. Can be a steady job. Recently allowed employees to work from home a few days out of the week.

      Cons

      Co-worker and management are not friendly. Most of management is very rude and does not care about the advancement of employees. Annual raises are very little as well as bonuses.
