Pros

Family friendly, management respects employees' personal time. Company is comitted to global philanthropy - thoroughly enjoyed participating in these events. Company provides 2 paid days off to volunteer in your community. This is a great place for a newly minted college grad. Young, friendly, fun employees.

Cons

Pay is too low. There are strict limits on pay increases even if substantial increase in responsibility. Company is too focused on cutting costs. High turnover, disgruntled employees.

Pros

They have an outstanding benefit package, strong upper and mid-level management, and you are valued as an employee. Communication lines are open between all levels of management an employees and even in difficult periods for the company, management does what it can for its employees. They are always tops in terms of technology giving employees the best tools in the industry with which to work. Promotions come primarily from within.

Cons

Compensation at State Street is low compared to competitors which leads to high turnover levels among lower level employees. The lack of continuity can become difficult for first line managers in maintaining operational standards.
