State of chaos

Business Outlook

Pros

Global. Some great people to work with and for.

Cons

Total chaos. Perpetual state of change to try to right size what wasn't working. Top management out of touch with realities of staff. Staff were expected to continue to push through while benefits and opportunities shrank. A lot of lip service on positive change that never materialized. Top management if very "old white guy" in mentality and composition.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m happy to see you found value in your community of colleagues at State Street. I agree the pace of business for global companies has exploded and encourage employees who feel a subsequent demand on their workload to escalate concerns to their managers. In order to ensure employee sentiment is being captured and addressed, we are starting quarterly, confidential pulse surveys. These surveys will help improve our strategy around risk excellence, mobility and employee engagement. We also recently appointed Paul Francisco as our Chief Diversity Officer —in his new role Paul will continue developing State Street’s Global Inclusion strategy and make important changes across the company. -Henry W.
