Pros

I've worked for the company for two+ years, and after the merger with Perform, our company has a better grasp on direction. The move from the suburbs to The Loop office was handled extremely poorly, but the current C-level people are much more capable. Stats Perform is now the biggest sports data company and sports AI company in the world, but it also has some of the best people I've ever worked with. I never dread going to work, and the environment fostered in the last year or so is a step up than before. If nothing else, it looks like a highlight on a resume or CV if you'd like to work for a professional sports team someday.

Cons

The hours can be long, especially as a sports company, a lot of nights and weekend work will be normal for a lot of roles in research, editorial, production or engineering. Bonuses and raises are handled on a case-by-case basis and are generally solid, though opening salaries may be a touch light relative to similar non-sports related jobs.

Pros

For starters, it's a sports company that is doing some extremely cool things in AI and technology. What's not to love about that? The company also has several great perks like good benefits, free food and snacks, great downtown location, ability to watch a ton of sports, and occasional tickets to local games. The Responsible Time Off policy also helps me manage a reasonable work/life balance. I have seen a ton of change during my time at STATS and I truly believe it is for the better. When I started, STATS had a very lax/inefficient startup feel. There was no clear direction on product roadmaps, sales goals, etc. and deadlines were rarely kept. Over the last year and a half, new management has come in and completely changed the direction. We are now a much bigger technology company (not a startup) with a set product roadmap and goals, which everyone is held accountable for. This is a great company if you want to work hard, be held accountable and try new things. I also appreciate the company's attempt to recognize people for hard work

Cons

As I've seen reading through some past reviews, there are clearly a few people who don't like change and miss the old, relaxed feel. These people are pretty noticeable in the office and can be tough to work with, but most people are pretty positive and happy to be here. Occasionally, some employees are asked to work outside of normal work hours to get an important project done, but that is never too bad.
