      Pros

      The team in Austria is great, really supportive and genuinely nice. The direct line managers are always going to have your back as long as you show your dedication to the team.

      Cons

      Lack of general vision by the organisation, lack of possibilities for promotion or development.

      So many good sports tech companies out there, why come here?

      I made the mistake of coming here because I thought STATS was an established, stable player in the sports tech market & would be a good place to work for a software engineer who is a sports fan and wants good WLB. I was wrong. This company is hemorrhaging clients. Projects start up and shut down based on the daily mood of the C-suite. Compensation was below market - I naively thought this would imply a more relaxed culture, but now I realize it's just a reflection of the philosophy of the parent company & the weak growth of STATS. Engineers - do not come here. If you want to work in sports, go to a newer player that is growing fast and actually values its engineers.
