Pros

A real sense of camaraderie amongst junior staff in particular, some really talented people here starting out their careers. Work is quite interesting and varied.

Cons

Management inept, no effective communication and secretive, "can't sit with us" attitude from the very top which means a total lack of trust, loyalty or value towards its employees, blame culture rampant throughout, massively disorganised, horrifically bad pay and equally inadequate pay rises no matter how many years you have been there. Truly toxic working environment where most are very unhappy and hence why turnover is so fast. Priorities are so out of whack, very apparent that making a profit trumps empowering and valuing its employees.

Great place to work

Pros

The hours were great- you either worked the 9am-6pm shift or the 10am-7pm shift. Basically ran your own business by reaching out to clients, setting up appointments, receiving new inventory, sending and receiving items. The discount is 50% off but with the merchandise having such a high price point it's pretty unattainable most of the time.

Cons

Constantly having to reach out to clients felt like I was harassing them via email, text, and phone calls. Working on an "up system" was a challenge because it wasn't fair game. Our up system worked like this- whoever came into work first had the first up to assist a client, then whoever came in second got the next, and so on. It wasn't fair game because one client could come in and just be looking around not wanting to buy anything because they are just waiting on a friend to eat at the cafe across the street, the next client could come in and want a new wardrobe and drop 10k, and the next client could come in with three friends and the sales associate gets all four clients. It's an unfair game and sales associates got credit for sales that were obviously easy due to the circumstances.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review from your experience working with the brand in Houston! We are really pleased that overall you had a great experience with us and that you felt you were leading your own business. We understand that sometimes being in a client facing selling role, your finger has to often be on the pulse and this is part of the reason why rotations are offered to give everyone opportunities. We are also constantly reviewing our incentive initiatives to make them as personalized and attractive as possible.
