Pros

Free snacks, younger people are pretty cool and inviting, flex work time

Cons

Bare minimum when it comes to salary, benefits, and rewarding work. If you get assigned a project you don't enjoy (or doesn't even match your expertise), you're likely to be stuck with it until the end. I was expecting software development projects to be more organized, but it more or less feels like a free-for-all when it comes down to implementation and is very disorganized. There weren't any senior engineers from reputable companies that can help in the software development process for projects that weren't written in C/C++. I also wouldn't be surprised if the statistics showed that I spent <10% of my time at the company writing code even though I was hired as a Software Developer.

We hired an HR professional in September of 2015 and are endeavoring to make sure that our compensation and benefits are in line with the market for a company of our size.

Pros

Let me think about it.

Cons

Outsourcing company. Don't expect to learn something new here. You have to do several projects at the same time. You have 1 direct manager and several project managers. Some of them have no coding experience.
