Pros

Training was ok, seemed to care

Cons

After training, nobody cared, all the placards on the wall "You're success is my goal" were pure retoric, and hype. Hell, they wouldn't return my calls, "Why can't I get dispatched? How can i make this whole thing work for me?" Had absolutely no control. Couldn't get dispatched. Sitting still 3 - 4 days between every load. Would call dispatch and be told I have 4 or 5 other trucks in line ahead of me, have to.wait my turn. After home time in Colo Spgs, sent to meat patch in Kansas, and there would be 15 Stevens Trucks there all waiting for loads. No drop and hook. Promised 48K 1st year, and up to 76K by 3rd year. I made 19K. Wife said "Come home, you're spending more at the truck stops to eat, than you're sending home for the mortgage" . Don't do it. They talk a good game at the seminar, but it didn't play out as hoped for. .

Thanks for sharing your story. Would love to take a look into this if you are open to reaching back out to us and giving us more insight into your pain points during your time with us. Communication is something that comes from both ends of the Qualcomm, and we regret to have failed on our side. However, in our defense, each driver is assigned multiple contacts. If you are unable to reach one, try another. Again, we appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our processes.

Pros

The best training industry wide. Instructors were great. Good miles. Was with Stevens for 7 years and trained for 5 yrs. Made a very good living. Due to a great personal loss in 2014 which caused tensions in my training with students i felt it was time to part ways with Stevens Transport. They were a good company to work for. Wish I was still there sometimes.

Cons

No real cons really. Just wish the Alliance division was given the same insurance opportunity as company drivers.

Don't do it

Pros

You get six weeks of training (riding) with someone who wants to do everything with you but train you. You get your own truck quickly after training...hopefully, if you can drive it.

Cons

They don't care about you, your family time or your full ability to operate the equipment. The staffing is rude and disrespectful across the bored and drivers get charged for everything. Getting home time is like pulling teeth, dropping them in the wrong bowl of teeth and the trying to find the right ones to take back out.
