Unbalanced Expectations

Pros

Not just a desk job- Closed on Sundays- 401K company match is above average Live on site (not all stores)

Cons

Often times there is more work than paid hours. Not a company to recognize individual merit nor loyalty. Sales compensation in flux. Work/life balance nearly impossible. No exit interview.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review us, and we appreciate your work as a StorageMart employee. Your feedback regarding employee recognition and compensation has been shared with our internal teams; we're sorry that we could not provide the communication or acknowledgment you had hoped for. As for the exit interview, our HR team schedules them shortly after we are notified of a resignation. Again, we value your assessment and would like to wish you the best of luck moving forward.

Great place to work

Pros

The work life balance is outstanding. As close to a 9 to 5 as you can get for a retail /sales location. The company is always finding ways to improve not only for the business but for their employees as well. 401k program is unmatched in my book.

Cons

Upward growth to upper management is hard since most employees stay in the positions for years. Insurance package could be better. The job can be pretty solitary. Good fit for people who prefer to work alone or in small a team.

We're so happy you enjoy your job with us! Thank you for taking the time to review. We encourage our current employees to apply for upper management positions when they open, but we recognize that those opportunities are not very frequent. Your years of service are appreciated and we are proud to continue improving our business for great employees like yourself!
