Cons
- The leadership at this company is highly ineffective. The CTO lacks the necessary expertise, the VP of product is smart but does not demonstrate any leadership qualities, I feel bad for product managers since he tries to make all the decisions. The VP of engineering is repeatedly uncertain and unprepared even on his weekly office hours, he has a bit of leadership skills but lacks domain/technical expertise, also is a coward in front of the CTO. These 3 "leaders" lead the company to have a questionable software business, and make technical integrations with questionable business. The attitude is to fire people, scramble, spend 3 months hiring, spend another 3 months ramping the new person and continue with the cycle. They need to invest in people. - Expect to work long hours in a highly reactive environment where things frequently break. The company tends to make lofty promises to potential customers without having the capacity to deliver, resulting in last-minute scrambling to fulfill commitments. - The company had a round of layoffs in January and offered a meager two weeks of severance pay. This may not be the kind of company you want to work for. - This company has a poor culture, just how you might expect for supply chain business. It is deficient in many respects, such as lacking in recognition, birthday wishes, and support for employees who are sick. You will be blamed for circumstances outside your control. - The back end system of the company is subpar. The CTO/vp of engineering are is incompetent to make the call and make a change. Features take 3x as much time as a result of a subpar back end. -The company offers minimal recognition for hard work, only highlighting mistakes. - There is a high turnover rate in the tech teams, including engineering, product, design, and engineering management. People who have left or are currently employed there attest to this fact. It is not advisable to join this company unless you have no other choice. If you do join, keep interviewing until you find something better. Do not feel guilty or obligated to stay, as this company does not value its technical staff. - I encourage you to talk to others before joining. You will hear this again.
