The Military and Family Life Counselor contract is subject to the Department of Labor Service Contract Act (SCA) wage determination which specifies the minimum wage rate and health & welfare payment for each location covered by the contract. However, in spite of the minimum rate identified in the SCA wage determination, SRI actually pays the majority of all MFLCs above the SCA wage rate and still provides the health & welfare payout to be used to cover insurance and other fringe benefit costs. This supports SRI continued compliance with and adherence to contract requirements, the SCA and all labor laws.
