Pros

the idea of helping students succeed is what drives me. also there are a lot of amazing people who work here and a lot of free food. strayer has the potential to be a great company.

Cons

however, those awesome people don't include upper management (CEO, VPs and Directors). they have absolutely no strategy (and if they do it's conflicting) or clear, unified vision. management has a level of laziness i've never witnessed in a company of this size and they lack an understanding how to get stuff done at the enterprise level. the problems they have to solve are straightforward but they always take the longest, most complicated path to addressing them—or not addressing them at all.

Not For The Weak At Heart

Pros

Pay is slightly above what other companies pay.

Cons

This could be considered the "predatory lending" of education. The only thing that matters to Strayer is money. If a prospective student has financial aid eligibility, a H.S. diploma or GED, and they have a pulse, Strayer will admit them and place them under unbearable debt. Many of the students fee they are doing the right thing by getting an education but 110k is a ridiculous price for a Bachelor's degree.
