Pros

Stock has soared since Trump was elected. Looks good on the surface.

Cons

Leadership has declined over the past year in noticeable ways. Sad! Have lost great leaders, leaving holes. Inner circle execs are people who seem all about managing up.

Pros

Leveraging resources with other regional leadership is a positive powerful experience.

Cons

Some decisions made by the Regional Deans should give more attention to students. The for profit principles contribute to students graduating with huge amounts of debt and no job placement.

Being laid off from this company was the best thing to ever happen to me

Pros

Nothing. If you are lucky, you will meet a few good people who do care about their work ethic and their students. You may also meet a few students who actually care about going to school. Unfortunately for them, they chose the wrong school. I feel bad for them.

Cons

This place used to keep me up at night in a panic about the ethics and the poor work environment. I was laid off due to their "reorganization" and it was the best thing to happen to me. My advice is to work at a real school, or at least get a job that wont make you question your moral code. There is little advancement, especially if you have a manager who knows less than you and is afraid you will outshine them. Their pay is offensive to the stress level and schedule that they make you work. And i can almost guarantee their practices are an HR nightmare waiting to happen. I hope the labor board does an investigation. You get asked all the time to sign out for lunch but keep working, or stay late (like I'm talking, you already worked 8 or 9 hours and because someone called out, now they want you to stay the rest of the time with 5 minutes notice), guilt tripped when you call out and 3x the workload, voicemail, and email when you return. If you're lucky you will have an understanding boss, but lets face it, everyone is terrified and it's like every man for himself. I would stay unemployed before working for this company again. It's awful. I feel bad for the people who are still working there or the people who are so desperate for a paycheck they sacrifice their moral and ethical code and stress themselves out to sickness level by this horrible company. If I could give this company no stars, I would. Get out while you can, because with all the traditional well known and respected colleges forming online programs, Strayer won't last in this marketplace.
