Pros

If your capable of having your own clients follow you to a location you can make mediocre side hustle money

Cons

I want to share my experience working at StretchLab Allen to provide transparency and awareness for anyone considering employment there. Throughout my time with the studio, I encountered several ongoing issues rooted in unprofessionalism, mismanagement, and lack of respect for employees. The owner and general manager frequently allowed personal issues and emotional resentment to influence their business decisions and employee treatment. This created a toxic and unstable work environment that prioritized personal drama over professional integrity. Despite being asked to take on responsibilities of a general manager and marketing manager, I was only offered $13/hour—a rate that does not reflect the scope or expectations of those roles. I was underpaid, overworked, and consistently underappreciated. To add context, this location had only 58 active members—a stark contrast to the 250+ members that more successful locations in the region maintain. This ongoing decline in performance and leadership left the team without direction or support. The final straw was when the owner refused to pay me for completed work, citing a personal matter. It wasn’t until I pursued legal action that I revived a suggestion of payment via Cash App and Zelle, which contradicted the direct deposit method used for all previous payroll. Additionally, when I requested a pay stub or documentation, there was no official record provided. I’ve since had to file a complaint with the labor board in order to receive fair compensation for my time and work. This experience has shown me that some StretchLab locations in the Texas region, specifically Allen, operate with questionable ethics and little regard for employee well-being. I highly encourage anyone considering working at this studio—or others in the area—to proceed with caution and be mindful of potential labor and professionalism issues.
