Pros

They are straightforward about letting employees know how they feel about them. They are determined to keep the doors open and that effort shouldn’t go unrecognized. Most people who work here go on to stretch clients privately which is far more lucrative then working at stretchlab.

Cons

If you need to file a complaint about workplace safety violations and seek the support of Human Resources you can rest assure they will avoid you like the plague. They hire young impressionable managers, placing great emphasis on employing failed D- 1 athletes and yoga enthusiasts. If you are serious about a professional career in wellness this is not a place for you. This business is sterile, the prices continue to rise and their business practices are questionable. You think you are enlisted to help people and provide a service but instead your forced to SALE and UPSALE. They want everyone to have a membership whether you are using it or not. There is only so much stretching a person should reasonably be doing and stretchlab has a deceptive way of persuading clients into over committing. I would not advise anyone to work here. You will be asked to do work that could potentially cause injury. The turnover is SKY HIGH because staff consistently suffer from injury. The expectations are unrealistic on the job and the supervisors are inexperienced. If your life doesn’t allow you to change your schedule at the drop of a hat you can expect management to reduce your hours. Did you look the wrong way? Your hours are reduced! Ask to go on vacation? You might not have a job when you return. NO LOYALTY. The most dishonest, dishonorable and inconsistent work environment I’ve ever been subjected to. You will be expected to participate in unpaid meetings. You will be micromanaged to death. I would talk my worse enemy out of taking a job with this company. I must place great emphasis on the fact that HR FOR STRETCHLAB IS NON EXISTENT. If you have any issues with this company you will not be able to have them resolved. They will withhold your payment records and employee information and make false claims about your work history. DON’T DO IT!! ITS NOT WORTH IT! ITS A TRAP! You can make more money stretching clients on your own! I made really great friends who were manipulated and downright played by this company. They can’t even be upfront about the pay structure when you are being hired on, these are people who can’t be trusted. Don’t let them get over on you. This company has had so many lawsuits that they have a million lawyers on retainer. It’s absurd. Don’t waste your time. STRETCH CLIENTS ON YOUR OWN!!!
