Pros

You will be asked to do an extraordinary amount of work and to travel frequently, so there's a great opportunity to learn if you have little experience.

Cons

You will be asked to do an extraordinary amount of work...but you won't be well-compensated for it. If you're going to make large personal sacrifices for mediocre compensation in one of the most expensive areas in the world, work for a smaller company that will provide some equity upside. Most senior managers do not live in California. That should speak volumes. No communication between upper management and even senior level functional areas. Dysfunctional, deep-seeded animosity between functional groups. Marketing is sales support, not product management. Very high turnover in marketing and engineering.

ACUTE CARE REVIEW ONLY

Pros

For many years, Stryker positively changed my life financially, and in terms schedule flexibility and of being able to run my own business. I felt like I found the unicorn corporation that actually cared about their reps and their families. Boy was I wrong. That is the only reason they get two stars.

Cons

We are not getting paid. Leadership ran a complete overhaul of our internal system in July, and since then we either haven’t gotten paid or have gotten paid incorrectly, and we are still expected to perform and hit quota. We don’t get paid gas, phone, or anything to visit our accounts, and when you’re not getting paid that’s the last thing you want to do. I actually cannot believe I am writing this review as I was always a Stryker fan, but when you mess with people’s money and livelihood and take ZERO accountability for it, you can’t expect your employees to be happy. I would anticipate a mass exodus from Acute Care.

Pros

Stryker has a strong brand in hospitals The benefits are pretty good - not the best but they get the job done Internal mobility for lateral roles

Cons

Lack of diversity Lack of inclusion Lack of upward mobility if you aren’t a white male on a sports team. It’s a very cliquish culture masked under the term “relationship oriented” People always say they love working there because of the people - and that’s really because everyone is pretty much the same
