Pros

Great coworkers and management group. Very autonomous, freedom to manage your daily/weekly service calls and complete paperwork requirements. Great benefit package. Training was good and the tech support at the corporate level is top notch. They will help when you are stuck or having issues in the field.

Cons

Can be long hours or overnights depending on the need. If you need to have a hard "stop time" at the end of every day that may be difficult to do. There is a sales aspect to the job, performance and results driven. Expected to grow your territory. If you aren't a people person or like sales this job may not be for you.

If you like "old school" selling this is the place for you - but it wasn't for me!

Cons

Management group definitely stuck in the "old boys" mentality. Poor communication of Management to Materials to Sales. End result is that the customer is quite often left in tough situations. Found it very unsettling to do have to potentially resort to not being truthful to customers. End result, it takes years to develop a good reputation and only a minute to destroy one. With that, I left my position. If you're a "Type A" personality that would sell your Mothers grave plot - this is the company for you.

Stryker empowers its Engineers. Stryker employs top talent, so there is always someone to learn from. Stryker is a very successful company with great work life balance.

Cons

Personalities are very similar to one another, if you don't have that personality it may be hard to feel like you fit in.
