Pros

Stryker offers a great benefits package with health care coverage, nutritional counseling, a gym and 401 k coverage. There is a sink or swim environment which can be exhilarating for those who thrive under pressure. Many of the employees are wonderful people that may become life long friends.

Cons

As others have mentioned, Stryker can be incredibly cliquey. It often has a feel of high school or a fraternity/sorority. Networking with the right people is more important to advancement than performance. Much of the staff is very young and driven. That can be an asset, but inexperienced, ill equipped managers can destroy a productive unit.

Learn tons of OR experience because that's what you're in all day long.

Cons

Limited to one hospital where you work, thus limited on surgery, territory and surgeon networking.
