Pros

CEO has vision and leadership. Stryker culture is to hire the best talent, then position them to utilize their natural strengths.

Cons

Age bias. There is an over-appreciation of young people with potential versus experienced people who have demonstrated capability. As a result, there are managers in positions they cannot perform, causing frustration with those who work for them and for their qualified peers.

Pros

Salaries are competitive Good vacation policy - and you will need the break!

Cons

_ RIDICULOUS amount of office politics - lots of backstabbing in senior management - Extremely stressful work environment - be prepared to work and work and work, it's never enough -Lousy communication and lots of micromanaging -Human Resources is never on your side - this includes local HR as well as senior level HR in Corporate (which by the way is a joke). They never try to get both sides of any story, nothing remains confidential, and they don't inform you of any issues that are occurring -They allow too much to be swept under the rug and they don't investigate issues you're having unless you're a manager. If you tell them about a problem or inappropriate situation it falls on deaf ears -People play games to get to the top and they will throw you under any bus to get ahead -Tons of lying and talking behind backs -The environment here is very similar to junior high school, it's gossip gossip gossip - lots of infidelity going on too -Unprofessional - let managers get away with bad mouthing former employees or people who still work for Stryker but are now in a different department. What kind of company thinks that's okay?
