Pros

Most employees are highly motivated since interview process uses Gallup profiling to assess ambition. Company makes amazing products. Pay is good for entry-level employees, and benefits are excellent (e.g., 3 weeks vacation in your first year, on-site fitness center). There is opportunity for rapid promotion if you are good at your job. Company has a very youthful culture and there are no divisions between employees and managers - often people sit in same cubicle area and eat lunch with their manager.

Cons

Some people may not like Stryker culture. I like it but most professional employees are under age 35, and look like they came out of a J. Crew or Manolo Blahnik commercial. Also, Stryker is a classic Peter Principle organization. If you want your career to advance, you have to become a manager rather than a specialized employee. Not surprisingly, many managers are nice to their employees but lack people skills. To make it worse, managers may have 15 or more direct reports, and may have employees at multiple locations.

Pros

- Good salary band - depends on negotiation - Good perks and facilities - Good learning via trainings - Good work life balance - No complexity in monetary matters - Industry standard increments (avg double digits)

Cons

- Very less scope of work (Potentially you will forget, what you already know) - Some cross country managers are poor managers as they don't understand the cultural difference and the ground reality. They do not have capabilities to get proper work for their subordinates and they expect their subordinates to work. What will they work. Why shall a Software engineer do the work of quant analyst, why a BA does the work of Sales person? Is it some kind of joke? - India HR is not transparent and are not qualified/ experienced enough to manage HR roles of a Fortune 500 organization - No opportunity of long term overseas assignment - Stringent on promotions based on years of experience

Pros

Great benefits, nice coworkers, hr is involved with company events etc

Cons

Stryker as a whole seems to be okay but since they don't invest appropriately in certain divisions they suffer substantially and so do the customers. This role is actually customer service with very little analytical. lots of fires to put out for the sales and orders, all day you are making orders and transactions. So don't be misguided by the incorrect caviar title to actual sardines.
