Pros

Can not think of any. I am sad to say!

Cons

In the Phx area, Quality Control and the Production areas are treated like 2nd Class Citizens. How Stryker can be rated as one of the Top 100 best places to work in out Country, Completely blows my mind. Stryker's "point system", for the "bottom of the totem pole" employees. This point system really should be utilized on the engineer levels and HIGHER. These folks come and go as they please. Taking hour and a half lunches, then celebrate each other with Starbucks and "Shooting the breeze" then leave early for the day. Stryker has had already 2 re-calls on their products. Why? Because production is under extreme pressure to get product out, by making daily quotas. Everyone is on "pins and needles" on a daily basis. In FEAR of being fired for not making their quotas. This product should be quality NOT quantity!!! We should be working SMARTER NOT HARDER. CEO and Upper management needs to speak to the people that actually work, not listen to the supervisors and department managers, to get real insight on how business is going. Any boob can "candy-coat" a presentation on how things preceding and are looking up. Unless you are afraid to hear the truth...

Pros

Stryker is a challenging and fun place to work. I can honestly say I love coming to work every day because I have the opportunity to work with incredibly talented individuals and some of my best friends. Stryker embraces and fosters a culture of team work, collaboration, communication and hard work; not a day goes by where I don't feel challenged in my role. The company provides endless opportunities to grow and develop your career - these are just a few of the many reasons why people love working for Stryker and why it's not just a stepping stone to something greater (because it's the greatest!); people come and they stay and flourish in their career forever!

Cons

It can be difficult to "turn work off" at times. Not because Stryker requires this, but because I love my job, I love the people and I love the constant challenge Stryker provides. Stryker seeks individuals who are innately wired to achieve; this is why we continue to win year after year and why we stay ahead of our competition. I don't really see this as a con as I thrive off the achieving piece. You just need to be cognizant of and create your own work-life integration, which Stryker always encourages and supports!

Pros

The people at Stryker are DRIVEN. If you are not, you don't stay long and that's a good thing. 70% of the patients that are admitted to hospitals in the US are touched by a Stryker Product. Stryker has tremendous people in the trenches and a visionary leader in Kevin Lobo. This company has changed my life and the lives of my family. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work here.

Cons

Our manufacturing and planning needs to improve. We have an inordinate amount of back orders.
