Pros

Challenging experiences that promote growth, great brand, performance based rewards, competitive benefits, talent driven and continuous improvement culture. Connection and passion to the products and customers. Connection to our community.

Cons

Shifting from decentralized COE's to Centralization. Technology (IT) dept. needs ongoing investment and improvements and several systems that launch with little support/maintenance staff post launch. Investments are primarily cost reduction focused which is understandable as Globalization is trending however change management is a continual struggle which has impacted employee engagement and loyalty that we've worked hard to earn in the past. Compensation is slow to meet market competitiveness. Good thing benefits are decent. The commercial division employees seem to have much better work life balance than the Manufacturing divisions.

Pros

Stryker focuses on hiring the right people for their culture which makes it a very enjoyable place. Being surrounded by like-minded people ensured I was always being developed and pushed. The benefits are also a highlight.

Cons

I worked in the field and did not have much of a work/life balance. I constantly had more work than I could handle dumped on me. Also, I was paid poorly for a long time. It wasn’t until I moved into management that I realized how severely under paid I was. Negotiate up front otherwise you’ll never make it up.
