Pros

Decent pay, willing to give train those who dont have experience

Cons

Management -tons of micromanaging. Managers have favorites and often flirting with certain employees. If you don't grasp onto a concept right away you are made to feel like your incompetent. For management they hire off of friends both inside and outside of stryker, making us have managers who aren't equipt for managing! NO work life balance. You get one day a week off, working long shifts. Work environment is not serious at all and they let you do whatever pretty much but when you do not hit targets you are scolded. Unrealistic expectations

Pros

The employees are the best the can hope to work with.

Cons

1. Top leadership has forgot that the employees are people. 2. If you're a 'Yes man' and don't actually care about doing the right thing, then you'll get promoted. Otherwise, watch out. 3. As long as work is your life then you'll have balance. 4. The culture is turned from one that put the patients, doctors, and the products that make their lives better first to one that care more about how Stryker looks on Wall Street.

Pros

The people and the culture are awesome. I love working at this company. I wouldn't be able to the demanding job of a Regional Supervisor supporting over 50 OnSite Specialists without my co-workers. Three weeks paid vacation each year is awesome if I had time to take any vacations.

Cons

Regional Managers in the OnSite Services of the Endoscopy division don't have a clue what we are faced with on a daily basis managing a field based team. They have hired aerobic instructors, recruiters who have never stepped foot in an operating room supporting Medical Devices. It takes at least 6-months for them to become somewhat proficient at the job. The Supervisor position is salary based, so expect to work 60 hours a week with heavy territory travel. If someone calls out for the day at a hospital, you have to steal someone from another account or cover the surgeries yourself. They need more help with coverage. It puts the Supervisor in a miserable position when they are stressed out about coverage. The Regional Managers don't care. As long as the region looks good on paper and dashboards, they don't care if you are stressed and overworked. HR is questionable in dealing with situations with employees. They will always side with their "friends" who are the managers versus the employees who are struggling in a situation.
