Pros

Tons of opportunities to make an impact in the company. Great mission which gives you the opportunity to make people's lives better through education. Everyone that works here is very smart and passionate so its a very engaging environment.

Cons

Very team focused atmosphere. Sometimes it can be stressful. There are high expectations of what you should deliver but these keep you motivated.

We're really driven by our mission to help students improve their grades and earn low-cost college credit, and we're constantly looking for new ideas from employees to help us achieve these goals. We have so many smart, creative employees with great ideas that it is hard to act on all of them immediately. We keep all the ideas in our backlog and revisit them several times a year. In the last quarter, we've gone out of the box, trying new ideas to help engage students.

Pros

When I tell people about the company I work for, most people can't believe the stories I share and the fun I have. Not only do I work at a company with some of the smartest and innovative individuals I have met, but I also work at a place full of friendly, down-to-earth, and fun people. With a mission of making education accessible, it's hard not to feel proud about the product. And when you add on the casual, fun, and open work environment, it's hard not to sound like an awesome place to come to everyday. The benefits are amazing, the Friday Happy Hours don't hurt, and the motivation to grow are just a few reasons why I like to boast about where I work :)

Cons

too many catered lunches and memorable Happy Hours ;)

Sorry about all the free food! We all joke about the 'Study.com 15'. Thank goodness we have a free gym membership to help us burn off all those extra calories! I'm glad you have so much fun at work. We've worked hard to make the office a fun and dynamic environment. If you have any ideas for how we can do this even better, just stop by my desk and let me know!

Hmm, let me think...they paychecks didn't bounce.

Cons

Leadership was awful. Chaotic, disruptive with little support.

Thank you for your years with Study.com and for sharing your perspective. You're right — parts of the sales organization went through several changes during that time, and we recognize that period felt chaotic and disruptive for the people living through it. We continue to invest in manager development and regular feedback channels, so employees feel supported and heard. For anyone considering Study.com: we'd encourage you to ask about team structure and management style during your interviews, and to connect with people across the org to get a full picture. If you'd like to share more, our People team is at people@study.com. We wish you well.
