Two Faced

Pros

The work was fun, fast paced and interesting.

Cons

The people you work with are always constantly blaming someone else for issues. No one take responsibility and management does not address core issue. Many employees have been there for a long time, and are extremely resistant to new comers. They were two faced, and would constantly gossip which made for a very poor working environment.

Pros

The people are nice and friendly. Working conditions are good and some managers are ok about taking time for personal reasons.

Cons

It is not a company that is honest with itself. Many problems are glossed over and promises are made but fail to materialize. There is no accountability a problem arrises and there is a meeting and everyone agrees that something is a problem and agree to a solution. Then because someone didn't do their job the problem happens again you are told "this project is important to the company so scramble and work like crazy. You might say that is team work except the exact same problem happens again ... and again and again. We have some of the same problems for years. Middle managers are stuck between frustrated employees that want change and upper management that just want to fix the current crisis which leaves team work and moral in a shambles. Moral is also hurt by a middle school mentality that values who your friends are not who is best at a job. Promotions are available if you have a friend in upper management.

Pros

Stuller has decent benefits and offers benefits of all kinds that you may want, the deductibles are a bit high though for such a larger company. The co-workers are pretty nice. When you pass someone in the hallway they are always willing to tell you hello. Nice, clean facility.

Cons

The cons would be, you do not have much freedom. I understand why they would be so strict, but I personally couldn't handle not being able to see outside/not being able to go outside during the day (unless you smoke, which I do not and you can't go otherwise). Also, I left Stuller for a much (MUCH!) smaller company who offers better benefit plans and it would have taken me 7 years to make $1 more an hour. I also feel that work gets thrown on you at a moment's notice with unrealistic deadlines. I also feel like there is too much emphasis on quantity, not quality. The specific department I was in timed every task we did and we were not allowed to talk while working and was told it was best not to go to the bathroom more than three times because it would mess up our "times."
