Pros

Good pay, Voluntary OT, Flexible Schedule, Okay Management, People

Cons

Turnover/layoffs. Average benefits. Their current processes/operating procedures in general. Being privately owned, the company still runs "old school" or as the owner "wants it to" because, well, it's his company. Being in the department I was, I felt like I couldn't do my job proficiently unless I asked for approval or permission to perform certain tasks. At times, it felt like the company was being too cautious before making decisions. Growth opportunities don't come often. If you personally want to grow professionally, it won't come often unless the company sees a benefit out of it. Management needs more structure. Direct line of communication between ownership-management and management-employees needs much improvement and professional structure.

Low pay and poor management

Pros

If you can afford to work for $11 an hour, good. Very physical labor. Don't count on the raises that they promise you.

Cons

Management is poor. Training is point and told to go do it. There is no concern for the employee. You work in a refrigerator and if you get sick, there is not any sick pay.

Pros

Easy to work with others in my department

Cons

No one gets a large enough raise to notice a difference. Not recognized for the effort or accomplishment.
