Pros

SullivanCotter has been a great place for my career. The best things about it: - The firm offers a lot of flexibility around when your are expected to work. Obviously there are the general guidelines, but if you have a doctors appointment or need to cut out early to make it to an after school activity, that is completely acceptable. The firm trusts the employees to get the work done, when it needs to get done, so the day to day micromanaging is limited. - The firm does a good job of letting individuals work on the projects that they find interesting. If there is a particular aspect of the firm's offering that intrigues you, you will be able to do it. - The vast majority of people in leadership roles are capable, knowledgeable, and inspiring people. In my experience, there are very few bad apples and most are more than willing to jump in to help achieve the desired results of a project. - There is a lot of camaraderie at most of our offices. As the firm has grown, there has been a focus on trying to solidify our culture and not let it get muddle as we add more and more people. - The work. There are interesting and complex problems that we are asked to solve everyday. No day at the office looks like the day before.

Cons

The potential downsides are more general to consulting, rather than SullivanCotter specifically. - We work for our clients and a lot of times they are the ones that set the deadlines. There will be times when late nights or working on weekends happens. It is the nature of the industry, but at SullivanCotter the flexible work schedule can allow for an individual to get at least some of those hours back. - The expectations of quality of work are set very high. With reputation being essential to our differentiation from the market, the high standards have to be met. Working in consulting is not for everyone and people should understand that it won't look like your typical 9 to 5 job. There will be a lot of requests pulling you in a lot of different directions. Coasting is not a real possibility. It will be challenging. An individual needs to consider these things and whether or not they are willing to accept them.

Pros

very intelligent group of co-workers. good location and work environments. good pay and benefits package overall. good technical equipment. health care business will be solid in the future

Cons

Nothing significant. The firm has a good standing in the health care community and that helps a great deal, although there is considerable competition for projects nationally from other firms.
